Astoria - Lewis & Clark Historical Tour of
the Oregon Coast and Columbia River
|
We will travel Lewis and Clark's route down the Columbia River to Astoria Oregon on the Pacific Coast. Commentary will go over the experiences of Lewis and Clark and the Corps of Discovery.
Once in Astoria we will visit the Historic Fort Clatsop where Lewis and Clark spent the winter of 1805-1806. Ft. Clatsop is operated by the National Park Service. Lunch time will be spent in Astoria. We'll drive you through downtown area and point out some of our favorite restaurants, then leave you on your own to eat, and browse through this Historic town. Before leaving Astoria we'll drive up to the Astor Column featuring terrific views of the Columbia River, NW Oregon and SW Washington State.
After Astoria we will head south along the coast with a stop at Ecola State Park for fantastic views of the coast. This is the area that Clark visited with Sacagawea to look for a beached whale. Ecola State and National Park is one of the most photographed areas of the entire Oregon Coast and a must stop.
The cost of this day tour is $74.50 per person, which includes door-to door transportation and the interpretive services of your tour guide. Entrance fees for Fort Clatsup are an extra $5.00 per person. Group discounts available for 30+ guests.
